Wheel-Throwing - Four Week Course

Perfect for beginners who want a more in-depth introduction to wheel throwing. With this four week course you will have time to learn each of the steps from throwing on the wheel, trimming your pieces, and glazing them ready for firing in the kiln.

Over the first two weeks I will show you how to throw the basic cylinder shape and adapt it to make different forms such as a cup and bowl - see images for examples. In the third week I’ll show you how to refine the shape of your thrown pieces by trimming as well as adding a foot ring. During the last class I’ll give you an introduction to how glazing works as well showing you how to finish your pots in the glaze of your choice.

The price of the class includes all materials, glazing and the firing of your pots, so you can come back to pick them up once they are out of the kiln.

Classes will be for 2 hours on weekdays (daytime or evening) over the chosen month. Just select your preferred month from the dropdown menu when adding to the basket and I will contact you to arrange the dates and start time of the classes.
